GENERAL
The Stornaway 18 was designed by Derek Ellard and is sold by Scruffle Marine of Australia as a comprehensive, partly prefabricated Marine ply/epoxy kit. She is traditionally styled with standing lug main, mizzen and jib out on a bow spirit. Unusually she has a partial canvas coach-roof and wash-board allowing easy access to the mast while opening up the cabin on a balmy summer’s night! She has a convenient off set outboard well.

BUILDER
2003 Stornaway 18’ Built professionally by Albert Vaughan for Scuffie Marine’s UK importer OzMarine UK. She was displayed at the Beal Park Boat Show.

SPECIFICATION
Marineply and Epoxy painted dark blue and white with varnished trim.

RIGGING
Standing lug yawl with nicely varnished masts/spars. The main is boom less and rigged with throat and peak halyards brought to cockpit to jammers; tack and first reef downhauls are also led to cockpit as is the furling line for the jib. The main and mizzen both have brailing lines.
Mast and spars stow within length of boat and mast can be raised and lowered single-handed.

SAILS
Main Cream in very good order with slab reefing. 115 sq ft
Jib Cream in very good order.52 sq ft

Storm Jib Cream never used and as new. 20 sq ft

ENGINE
Bison electric outboard with leisure battery.

EQUIPMENT
Four berth - two in cabin and two in cockpit under bespoke cockpit tent. There is a gas cartridge hob and a cassette WC. The twin bilge pumps under cockpit floor, and an echo sounder, are powered from a single 12v battery under a small chart table.
A basic inventory of 3 fenders, a Bruce anchor, and a few lines are included.

TRAILER
Galvanised braked Bramber Break-back road trailer with spare wheel. New axle brakes/ hubs in 2015 with new wheels and tyres in 2020
